D is for DIY

Right now I’m really into old rocker tees, but every time I find one I like, it’s always so expensive! Not everyone can throw down $40 for a t-shirt, so I took it upon myself to make one on my own.

It was actually pretty simple; all you need is a black t-shirt, bleach, and a pair of scissors, and a bucket to dip your shirt in. For the black t-shirt I went to Target and picked one up in the men's department for only $11.99. I find a lot of great t-shirts in the men's department, and most of the time they're cheaper than they are in the juniors' department. Happy shopping!

First I cut the t-shirt and added a few small holes for a “distressed” look. Then I dipped the bottom in bleach, laid it in the sun to dry, and VOILA! I had the t-shirt I had been looking for, for less than half the price!

Hope you all have a happy and safe new year!

P.S. Sorry I haven't posted anything in a while, life has been pretty crazy! But I promise it won't happen again :)

Don't Fall Short

When getting dressed in the morning I feel that everyone should pick one asset that they want to show off. For me, I like to show off my legs (don't mind my bruised knees), by wearing shorts.

But since it's November, shorts can look too "summery". To make the transition from summer to fall, I like to pair my shorts with boots, socks (or tights), and a cardigan. Don't forget the cardigan! I absolutely love wearing cardigans, especially bright ones that add a pop of color to any outfit.

Fall in Love with Fall

As the colder weather comes along, and the days become more gloomy, it can get harder for most of us to get out of bed and get dressed in the morning. But for me, fall is the season I look forward to the most. It means big sweaters, the holidays, and of course, layering!

In the fall, most people tend to wear jeans or leggings, which is great and always comfortable, but you don't have to get rid of your summer shorts just yet! Pairing shorts with tights and a jacket will turn heads and mix up your fall wardrobe.
